We're Back! Second festival announced!

The second annual I.N.I. Music Festival - A charitable concert that benefits St. Louis area organizations in memory of Ian Irons - will take place on August 2 at Cicero's in the Delmar Loop.

Confirmed bands:
We are pleased to announce the return of several favorites from last year.

*THE NORTHWOODS*
St. Louis-based THE NORTHWOODS are Midwestern boys who have known each other since childhood and have taken up residency in the gateway to the west to hone their craft. Aiming to create “pure and true, sunny and joyous” music, Jermey Shanas and Eli Palnik weave beautiful and intricate acoustic folk rock songs. This year the group is nominated for Best New Artist in the RFT's local music awards. www.myspace.com/thenorthwoodsmusic

*THE SHAM*
Playing in the St. Louis area since 2004, local rock outfit THE SHAM has made their presence known locally with their independently recorded album, “Life Gave Me Lemons: I Made Lasers,” and EP “We Will Rebuilt.” The Riverfront Times recently reviewed a performance of the band, comparing their instrumentals to early Strokes material - without the “snotty boredom” – and the vocals of Chris Phillips to Built to Spill’s Doug Martsch. This year they are nominated for the RFT's Best Indie Band In St. Louis award. www.myspace.com/thesham

*BLAISE B.*
Hailing from Chicago’s South Side, BLAISE B. is a hip hop artist on the rise who combines rapid-fire, intelligent rhymes with funky beats inspired by the classic sounds of soul and R&B. Performing around the US with fellow artist Pro-Black, Blaise B has opened up for Lupe Fiasco, Sadat X, and Common Sense as well as headlining his own shows. www.myspace.com/blaisebullion
